Traffic control, regardless of the form of transportation involved, brings with it a range of hazards. Traffic control can range from direct control of a vehicle, through to management of shared space, and at a higher level, dispatch systems. As a result, traffic control failures have led to incidents including the train crashes at Clapham Junction, Norwich Yarmouth, and Staplehurst. At a higher level, the London Ambulance dispatch failure was also a failure to adequately direct traffic to give medical treatment. Savive draws upon resources and case studies from this and other domains of transportation when providing training and consultancy services. |
